What is the Purple Card?

The Purple Card is in simplest terms a pre-loaded gift card. Available only to college students, the Purple Card allows you to purchase food at any of the participating local restaurants and eateries in the greater Williamstown metropolitan area. Sign-up is easy and secure, and once done, each student receives his or her own unique Purple Card with a photo ID. Then, students, parents, family and friends can all put money onto the Purple Card online and let the good eats begin

How Do I Manage My Purple Points?

Purple Points are just like money, in fact one Point equals one dollar at any of the participating restaurants. And the Purple Card is secure, since each card has a picture of the students face to deter others from using it.  Checking balances is a snap online, and if you see that your balance is running low it’s easy to add more money to the card online too. Or, for a more personal touch you can call us up and recharge your card over the phone. Should tragedy transpire, and your card is lost it’s easy to report either on our website, or again by telephone and we’ll issue you a new one. And unlike the College meal plan, where unused meals are lost each semester, Purple Points roll over semester-to-semester, year-to-year.
